For the first time ever, a coveted clerical Golf Trophy is to come north to the Diocese of Moray, Ross and Caithness.  The new holder of the Primus' Invitation Golf Trophy is Canon Cliff Piper of St John's Forres.

The Primus presenting Cliff with the Trophy
Against a strong field of 15 players drawn from across the Scottish Episcopal Church, Canon Cliff shot a record breaking 63 at Merchants of Edinburgh Golf Course on a sunny Wednesday afternoon the 9th June.

This win broke a three year consecutive run for Canon Jim Mein (Dean Emeritus of Edinburgh) as winner of this annual event. Bishop Bruce Cameron, Bishop of Aberdeen and Orkney and Primus of the Scottish Episcopal Church was on hand to present Cliff with the Trophy ... presumably at the 19th hole!
