Bishop John

Sunday 15th August was an especially happy occasion in St Andrew's Church in Tain.  It was the day when Jenny Whiteford received the Sacrament of Confirmation at the hands of the Bishop, Bishop John Crook.

It was also the first Confirmation in the Diocese for the new Priest-in-Charge of St Andrew's, Fr Andrew McMichael.  After the service Andrew said, "He was a wonderful occasion and good to have some of the folk from St Ninian's Invergordon with us.  We were all so proud of Jenny and delighted to be part of the celebration and especially to receive a slice of her Confirmation cake."

Bishop John said, "It was very good to have some of Jenny's school friends there to support her.  I know that at times, she found things quite emotional.  We all did, but we were all there to support each other.  It was a lovely occasion and I wish her every blessing for the future."
